Ray Williams was born in Georgetown Guyana, from where he departed in 1963 to attend university in Chicago.
- Immigrated to Canada in 1970 and settled in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Retired from the Ontario Public Service’s Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services as a manager of Probation and Parole Services in 2003
- Has since devoted his time to writing short stories, poems, essays and travelogues.
- Is a member of ‘Writers’ circle of Durham Region’ (W.C.D.R. ) and ‘Writing is hard work’ (W.I.H.W.) writers’ groups.
