Peter Jailall, a teacher, storyteller, and poet, was born in Guyana in 1944. He has read his poetry in schools, libraries, and universities across Canada and in the Caribbean. An avid supporter of human rights and social justice, he expresses his compassion and passion for human values through poetry and stories. He currently teaches with the Peel Board of Education in Mississauga, Ontario, and writes a regular column, “Jottings,” in the Peel Educator’s Association newspaper, The Beacon.
