What are we doing, really?

PAKARAIMA aims to identify, develop and promote the works of writers and artists, and to provide a forum for the expression of their talents and facilitate the awareness of their works.Among its objects, the Association strives to:

 

  • Conduct readings, facilitate book launches, participate in literary events, explore publishing industry
    and organize exhibitions and workshops. 
  • Stimulate awareness and interest in the activities of the Association in an effort to encourage
    community involvement in promoting literary and artistic interests, especially among young people.
  • Encourage emerging Guyanese Canadian writers and artists in schools, colleges and the public at large
    to develop their skills through membership of the Association.
  • Organize a vibrant body so as to give members a sense of belonging.
  • Propagate cultural art forms through music, dance, plays, drama and concert.Create awareness
    of the activities of PAKARAIMA via the electronic media, radio, newsletter, and other print media.

    I am happy that there is someone out-there like yourself, who has not only expressed a concern, but has actually done something about it. Keep the banner soaring the atmosphere and never let it stop soaring.

    I have a 15yrs. old daughter that is very interested in publishing with everything including writing and so on and so forth. Is there any organization or company out there, that she can get in contact with?
